Touring Alaska without a cruise ship
We've heard of the opportunity of cruising the coast from USA to Alaska on mail boats. Any truth to this?
Mail boats?
I remember some stories about the old mail boat in Prince William Sound out of Valdez - The Siren,maybe.
I don't know about rides, however. And it would be a pretty long trip from the US... I know the State ferry is a 4 day trip, maybe 5 and expensive!
You know, I saw the State Ferry in Bellingham WA the other day. I saw it out of the corner of my eye as I was going thru town and thought "Blue Canoe!"
